Samsung Galaxy S-2 sets new company record : 3m sold in 55 days!

Samsung broke its own record by having sky rocketing sale figures for its Galaxy S-2. The company claims to have sold 3 million copies in 55 days. By a little math you will find out that this means 1 s-2 sold ever 1.5 sec! Considering the competition in the market and the law suits in which Samsung was involved, this is a pretty impressive figure.

Samsung will most probably pocket high revenues when this phone goes for sale in the US some time later this month. Galaxy S-2 is 3rd phone in the Galaxy series after Galaxy and Galaxy S. It should be noted here that the previous version (Galaxy S) had sold 3 million copies in 85 days. This means S-2 broke that record by an entire month.
After launch of Samsung Galaxy S-2, HTC Sensation was expected to give it a tough competition but the sales figures clearly suggest otherwise. Galaxy S-2 with its 1.2 Ghz processor, 4.3 inches super Amoled plus display and impressively thin size (8.49mm), has been a major gadget for android developers who appreciate its openness and flexibility to developer changes.
