Verizon Wireless has expanded its LTE network in nine new cities, making its customers take advantage of their 4G-compliant smartphones such as HTC Thunderbolt. These cities include Mobile and Montgomery in Alabama; Greater Fairfield and New Haven in Connecticutt; Gainesville, Pensacola, and Tallahassee, Florida; Fayetteville-Lumberton in North Carolina; and Bryan-College Station and Temple-Killeen in Texas.
The carrier has also expanded coverage in major cities like Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, New Orleans, and Philadelphia. This week�s expansion brings the list of LTE cities to 55, over 35 percent of Verizon�s 147-city target by end of 2011.
