While there have been a plethora of iPad tablet competitors announced, we have yet to see once materialize and become commercially available. If you�re in India, that may be happening sooner than us here in the States.
Olive Telecom has just announced the Olive Pad VT100 Android-powered tablet capable of running on 3.5G bands. This device runs Android 2.1 and features a 7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480. Additionally, it is to feature WiFi, 512MB of built-in storage, Bluetooth, SD card slot, mini USB, 3.5 mm headset jack and a 3 megapixel camera.
What�s strange about this device is the fact that it actually features the ability to be used as a mobile cell phone. It will be available next month for around $500 with no word on a North American or International launch.
