Well, we have posted about SimpleCall. Firstly because of the free test credit offered by Simple call so that people can make free international calls, and then we posted about SimpleCall Connection charges.
Offcourse, the free trial credit works good and you can make free calls to India. When your free credit is over, you can buy credit from simple call and make cheap calls to India as it offers calls to India at 1p, but hey we only told you about the connection charges by Simple Call.
To my surprise, when I checked again the terms and conditions of SimpleCall I found they have been modified.
Q: Is there have any connection charge for India and Pakistan?
A: The connection charge of £0.05 for India & £0.15 for Pakistan. This will be added when the call duration exceeds 5 minutes. It is applicable only for the UK customers.
So, that means if you are using SimpleCall to make calls to countries apart from India and Pakistan there will be no connection charges. Use simpleCall to make calls to Bangladesh (Call rate 2.5p per min).
Secondly, it applies only to UK customers. That means, if you are not from UK then you dont have to pay any connection charges. Use SimpleCall from USA, Canada and make calls to India at just 1.6 cents per min.
I wonder, if UK customers also make calls using Phone (SIP calls via Fring), then too they have to pay this connection fees. SimpleCalls works similar to a calling card like Reliance India Call or make calls using PC application or use Fring in your mobile to make mobile voip calls.
