Promo Calling : Ad supported Business Calls

Are you running a voip business offering cheap voip calls, however you are looking for ways by which you can provider more cheaper calls. You have the idea of offering free/cheap voip calls by showing some advertisements (Ad supported business calls), however you need an interface to help you out.

2600Hz Promo Calling does exactly the same, offering you an interface for Ad supported Business Calls. How this works :
1. Any client Buys a SIP Phone.
2. You offer the network to make calls.
3. Promo Calling provides you the ad interface so that the AD's are displayed on the phone.

PromoCalling is a basically a carrier software-based service that displays advertisements on VoIP desk phones. It’s designed to work with other components of the open-source 2600hz project and helps carriers defray the costs of delivering VoIP calls. PromoCalling is free for carriers and service providers. Service providers can evaluate whether the financial returns the ads provide will cover all service costs and how to pass the savings on to their customers.

Please note: PromoCalling is not a free calling service – it’s a software and an ad delivery system that runs on 2600hz’s new distributed VoIP platform. You must be a service provider to utilize the ad service. Carriers might use it to offer free service

This service looks very unique to me, and is quite interesting. A lot many voip providers can make use of it to offer free/cheap voip calls.

If you are looking for making free international calls, unlimited free calls to india then try FreePhone2Phone.

Indian telecom companies offering cheap calls to US & Canada

Seems that Indian telecom is now feeling the presence of Voip. With start of a few voip providers in India, calls to US, Canada and some other countries was very cheap. A lot of business started moving to voip for their calling needs. Specially the US companies in India make full use of Voip and save a lot on phone bills by making cheap voip calls.

While I was just surfing on my phone, I came across an offer by Idea (one of major telecom in India). The offer was you can make calls to USA and Canada for 1 paisa per sec. That's 60 paisa per minute, almost 1.2 cent per min. This calling rate is very comparable to what voip companies are offering, instead the price is cheaper then the voip companies. If you compare the price with the local and STD rates in India, then my local/STD calling rate is also the same (1 paisa per sec).

The time is here in India, when the local/STD/ISD calls cost you the same amount. This seems great for Indian telecom. The next thing to look out for is call rates dropping for other countries.

So for all our NRI living in USA, your friends and relatives from India can themselves call you from India.

Going for Vacation : Wowtel International Prepaid Sim Cards

We have discussed a lot on making cheap international phone calls, but have not really discussed about making cheap phone calls whn you are going abroad for a vacation.

A lot of Indians go abroad for business trip, leisure, students go for higher studies. Now offcourse since you are going for few days, you wont be buying a phone connection in your destination country. Ultimately you end up having no phone connection when you are travelling abroad, not able to talk to your loved ones in your home country.

A simple option which most people choose is to get their International roaming activated, and you know the call charges in international roaming are so high that you end up spending a lot of money. (Call charges in International roaming to India are in range of Rs 50-100. More than $1.)

So what all options do you have and how can we help you save on your phone bills. A good option is to get an international prepaid sim cards. These sim cards are normal sim cards which will work in your destination country and best part is that call charges are less than half of what you pay when in International roaming.

We have already discussed about one, Matrix Sim cards (which is already very popular). Lets now talk about other such services. One such service is WowTel International Prepaid Sim cards.

Wowtel offers International Prepaid Sim cards in five countries which includes USA, UK, Belgium, Thailnd, Switzerland.

The initial cost of Sim Card is Rs 1499, and you dont even need to return the card when you get back to India. Initially you will get some free calling minutes and free sms plus wowtel to wowtel local calls are free. The local call rates and call rates to India are also very cheap. When you have used your free minutes, you can easily topup your sim to talk more.

Using Wowtel (USA sim) to call India will cost you 15 cents per minute (approx Rs8) but you know on International roaming you may need to pay more than Rs 100/min. So this clearly shows you how much you can save if you take International prepaid sim cards with you while travelling abroad.

Nymgo Bangladesh, Sri Lanka Unlimited Calling plan expried

As we all know, Nymgo is the world's leading voip provider offering unlimited calling plan. Apart from that Nymgo is also known for offering very low rates to various destination in world. Specially calling to India, Nymgo provides very cheap rates (1.3 cents per minute).

Sometime back, Nymgo stopped its unlimited plan for India, Pakistan. However it slashed its Pay as you go rates so that people can still enjoy cheap rates to these destinations.

Now, Nymgo's unlimited plan for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka has expired. And to keep its low rates promise Nymgo has again lowered its Pay as you go rates for calling these destination.

Present Nymgo rate for calling Bangladesh : 4.9 cents per minute.
Present Nymgo rate for calling Sri Lanka : 7.4 cents per minute.

But this time I guess Nymgo is not offering a good deal for these countries. Specially for calling Bangladesh. With the recent changes in Bangladesh Voip rules, many other voip providersare offering very cheap rates. Recently Vopian decreased its rate to just 2.1 cents per minute. SmartVoip is also offering low rate of just 2 cents per minute.

Well Nymgo this time you are not the cheapest and you need to lower your rate a bit further if you want to keep your promise.

Guys, if you know a better deal for calling these countries ( Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) then do let us know, so that we all can make cheap voip phone calls.
