Dial91 : Dial India, India Calling Card : 1.5 Cents/Min

This holiday season, a large number of voip providers have lowered their call rates to India. If you are paying more than 1.5-2 cents per minute to call India, then you are definitely losing money.

We have so many options now to make calls to India. Free Calls to India is offered by Pennytel this holiday season (till 2nd Jan2010), it also offers free voip calls to other countries. If you talk of calling cards Pingo is obviously a good option, but you can explore others too.

Due to the every growing competition, many voip providers are forced to lower call rates. Dial91 has reduced its call rates to India. Dial91 is now offering 1.5 cents/minute to call India. One of my friend is using Dial91 to make calls from USA to India, and he is very much satisfied with the call quality.

Another good thing about Dial91 is that you can buy as low as a $2 calling card, which will give you 134 calling minutes to India with effective calling rate just 1.5 cents/minute. So I guess you can try it by buying a $2 card, and continue with the voip service if you like it. Soon you will be able t access Dial91 from Skype, another cool thing !!

Vyke: Voip calls at 4Cents/Hour to 20 countries

Vyke, a very well known voip provider offers some really good plan. Thanks to Mr. Vijay Chand for informing us about the voip offer.

Vyke offers a Vyke zone to all its customers. It is actually a list of popular landline destinations that cost an amazing 4 cents per hour to call. About 20 countries are covered under this Vyke Zone.

These countries are as follow:
USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.

I know calling these destinations for free aint a big deal. Many voip provider offer free calls to these destinations (viz Poketalk). However, either these free calls are limited to 10-20 mins or they suffer from poor voice quality etc. I guess then this very cheap option has prove a good deal. After all 4 cent for an hour is way to less.

You can use Vyke in your mobile phone. Download the application, install it in your phone. Once you have completed the installation process you can make a call when you're within a WiFi Zone and connected to Vyke. Call any Vyke Zone destination and pay only 4 cents per hour.

Apart from mobile calls, you can also make Pc to Phone calls using Vyke. It also offers a softphone. What are you waiting for. Join Vyke and start calling.

Tuitalk reduces call duration to 2 min per call to India

I am sure every regular reader of this blog must be aware of Tuitalk. Tuitalker gained much popularity only when it started offering free calls to India (though they were offering free international calls to many other countries about 40).

Tuitalk free international calls offer (specially to India was a big hit). Tuitalk, a Free Pc to Phone calling service, initially it was even offering free India to India calls but later restricted calls from other countries to India. (People of India were restricted from usin Tuitalk software). I myself used the service for a good period of time. Earlier the call duration was of 10 min (it offered 10min/day free minutes).

Tuitalk post has recently received many user comments informing us about the reduction of free minutes. Tuitalk has reduced the call duration to just 2min/per to a max of 3 calls per day. That makes a total of just 6 min per day.....lol. Are they kiddin...???

When the call rates of Pc to Phone services like Nymgo, call rates of Betamax services and even call rates of calling card like Pingo is so less, why would people still go for these 2min/call deal. (this means you save only 2-3 cents...lol..not even Rs 1.).

I guess Tuitalk seriously needs to think about their update. I am sure a lot many people would stop using their free service. I guess either they are not finding advertisers to pay for calls or whatever reason they need to work it out.
