Betamax Rate Comparison for calling India

Few days back, we posted about betamax companies offering cheap calls to Indonesia. I have been getting emails from blog readers about various betamax companies like Jumblo, smartvoip etc offering very cheap calls to India.

So, I thought to once again look at the prices offered by various betamax providers so that people can choose the cheapest one. Below is just the rate comparison, to know more about these betamax providers just visit the respective blogpost.

Jumblo : It is offering very cheap rates to India and I guess the cheapest these days.
1 Euro cent to Indian landlines and .7 cent (less than one cent) to call Indian mobiles. SIP support is also there.

SmartVoip : It is offering the same rate of one eurocent to both Indian mobiles and landlines. So if you call landlines most then SmartVoip is equally good.

ActionVoip : It is offering 1 eurocent to Indian mobile but for lanlines it is cheaper than above two. Actiovoip charge .9 cent/min to call Indian landlines.

Webcalldirect: And many others are offering about 2eurocent/min to call India. I guess above three are a good options. If you have no other problems in using betamax then prefer Jumblo, Actionvoip over others.

BudgetSIP : Cheap Voip SIP Calls to India

Though I myself not in favour of Betamax services but the cheapest rates offered by them has led many to use Betamax voip providers. Making cheap calls to India aint a big deal now. A lot of voip providers are offering very cheap calls to India in the range of 1-2 cents per minute.

You may be successfully using ActionVoip or SmartVoip for making voip calls to India, but we thought to look for other options or betamax services which are offering similar low cost calling deals. Few days back we discussed VoipLip (a new launch by betamax offering very cheap calls to India).

Today we discuss about BudgetSip. BudgetSip has been talked about on this blog in initial days of its launch. BudgetSip is very popular among voip callers. BudgetSip is a very good option for making cheap voip calls to India.

Now talking about the method to make calls. You can download their Voip softphone (PC application) to make Pc to Phone calls or you can use access numbers for making Phone to Phone calls.

Voipian 1cent per Call : Cheap international Calls.

Another Voip provider has entered the market with a bang. Named Voipian, interface much similar to other betamax providers is a launch by Voipax and Freebuzzer.

The best part about this voip provider is the offer which it is giving to its customers. Voipian is offering 1 cent per call to large number of destinations. Let me put it again, it is not 1cent/min but it is 1cent/call.

So, once you have initiated a call you can talk for as long as you like and you will be charged just 1 cent. However a Fair usage policy do apply, it states "Voipian resevers the right to limit the number of calls, duration of calls and/or amount of minutes per account to prevent excessive usage on its network. Voipian may charge the regular rate for calls if excessive usage is detected."

ActionVoip lowers call rates to India : Cheapest calls

Few days back we blogged about ActionVoip, the latest launch by betamax. ActionVoip offered the lowest Pc to Phone calls and Phone to Phone calling rates to India.

In very short span of time, ActionVoip gained lot of popularity. As it is quite common for betamax to change its calling rates, but this time ActionVoip has lowered their call rates to India.

Old rate to India (A few days back wehn it was launched) -
To Indian Landline - 0.7 cents/min
To Indian Mobile - 1.3 cents/min

New rates of ActionVoip to Call India -
To Indian Landline - 0.5 cents/min ($ .005) (Half a cent uuuuhhh..!!)
To Indian Mobile - 1.0 cent/min

Its really amazing that you can call India at half a cent (way cheaper than local calls in India lolz...). The price is even lower than what voip companies offer for calling USA, Canada.
I was thinking about those people who still are using their normal phones (not voip) for making international and domestic calls. Man they are loosing too much money.

Its high time one should switch to Voip for all their calling needs...!!

SmartVoip : Betamax Provider offer Free International Calls (Cheap calls to India)

There is one more addition to the list of Betamax voip providers. Smartvoip is the recently launched voip service by Betamax voip company. Smart voip rightly says that voip being the smart way to make phone calls and save on your phone bills.

Much similar to other betamax providers, smartvoip offers free calls to many destinations. I guess calls to USA, Canada, China, Singapore,Taiwan, Russia etc are free subject to a maximum of 5000 minutes. Actually, this is not at all any big deal as many other voip providers are offering the same deal (free calls to these destinations).

Smartvoip is at present offering calls to India at 1.9 cents/min (Landline) and 2.6 cents/min (mobile). Well the rates are comparable to Nymgo and Mediaringtalk. I have never ben in favour of Betamax companies, so I won't suggest you smartvoip (over Nymgo/Mediaringtalk).

However, Betamax companies offer SIP services,Pc to Phone calls and Phone to Phone calls to. Voice quality is also good. For this reason people may try smartvoip as Nymgo and Mediaringtalk offer only Pc to Phone calls.
